For Budding Soccer Players Age 5-8
The primary goal of the PCSC Futures Program is to teach the game of soccer in a fun and challenging environment in order to facilitate a successful transition from seasonal Rec League soccer into a full-year competitive program.
This is a skills & drills program - players do not participate in league-based games.
Led by professional, experienced coaches and assisted by the Club's junior coaches, the Futures Program is a structured environment in which the fundamentals of soccer can be taught -- such as individual ball skills -- through age and developmentally-appropriate training sessions. Training sessions are designed to create a fun environment for any young person who wants to play soccer while helping them develop the tools they will need to be successful at playing the game in the future.
Ultimately, the scope of Park City Soccer Club's youth Futures Program has a three-fold emphasis:
Futures sessions are for players between the ages of 5 and 8 years old. We offer sessions in the Summer, Fall & Spring:
Summer: 5-week sessions on either Monday or Wednesday evenings.
Fall: 12-week Wednesday session runs from late August through mid-November, while the 8-week Friday session begins in late September and also runs through mid-November.
Spring: 10-week Wednesday or 5-week Friday sessions.
When available, eager players may sign up for both days per week.

Yes! As long as the days of the week don't conflict, Futures is a perfect complement to rec soccer.
Yes! Futures is an introduction to soccer - it's great for first-time players.
Officially? No. But interested parents should reach out to Futures Program Director, Matt Terwillegar to discuss their athleticism, attention span, and current activity level.
Program Director, Matt Terwillegar will make the final call, but his answer if generally no, unless there is a younger sibling also participating.
Experience has shown there is just to big a gap between the younger children in the program and 9 year olds, who get bored with the pace needed for the "littles."
