||Park City Soccer Club
It is expected that any athlete who applies for and receives a scholarship from Park City Soccer Club will conduct him/herself in a manner consistent with the Player Code of Conduct, and that his/her parents will conduct themselves in a manner consistent with Parents Code of Conduct, including providing positive support to the team and the Club. Behavior to the contrary could jeopardize the player’s scholarship for the current year as well as future years.
**Application Deadline: Monday, May 31st, 2015**
Park City Soccer Club offers a limited number of partial and nearly full scholarships, based on need and merit. Priority will be given to those players enrolled in the School District’s free and reduced lunch program.
Due to the great demand and the limited Club Scholarship resources, no one is guaranteed a scholarship from one year to the next.
A player’s selection to his/her team will be handled independently of their scholarship request or needs. The coaching staff prior to tryouts does not know of any scholarship requests.
A player’s lack of participation in team activities and or failure to abide by Code of Conduct rules could result in (1) removal from the team (2) return of team uniform (3) future scholarship ineligibility.
All Scholarship Recipients are required to pay a minimum $400, which represents registration and UYSA fees. Every PCSC family is required to pay a $200 refundable Volunteer deposit and complete the 10 hours/family in order to receive a refund of the deposit. Upon acceptance of an awarded scholarship, recipients and their parents will setup a payment plan with a credit card or electronic funds transfer for the remainder of the balance.
Payments may be made in the form of cash, check or credit card. Credit card service fees will be waived for scholarship recipients.
Scholarships are not awarded in the form of cash. They are awarded in the form of credit against a player’s account with Park City Soccer Club.
In the case that a scholarship player has difficulty participating in tournaments and other travel opportunities with their team, the team manager may apply to the club’s Board for assistance to meet the player’s portion of the team community expenses (tournament entry, coaches’ per diem, etc…) In situations of dire need, the manager may also ask for assistance with lodging costs.
Scholarships will be reviewed and awarded by the Scholarship Committee, which shall be comprised of a minimum of three individuals, including Club Registrar, Scholarship Committee Chair, and an appointed volunteer. Other interested volunteers may apply to the Board of Directors to be appointed to the Scholarship Committee.
**PRIOR YEAR ACCOUNTS MUST BE PAID IN FULL TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ANY SCHOLARSHIP**
**PLEASE SUBMIT A COMPLETE APPLICATION. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED**
